La seconda novità da non perdere assolutamente e da tenere custodita in una preziosa bacheca per gli Springstiani doc, è l'ultimo concerto fatto da Bruce con la E. Street Band a Londra in Hide Park, chiamato, "London calling (dalla famosa canzone dei Clash) live in Hide Park", registrato all'Hard Calling Festival di Londra il 28 giugno del 2009.
Tre ore di intensissima partecipazione, entusiamo alle stelle, sudore, cuore, fatica, polvere, passione tutti e proprio tutti i londinesi ed i fortunati ospiti sono impazziti. Si era ritornati indietro nel tempo, i classici concerti interminabili del Boss, con la partecipazione di Brian Fallon dei Gaslight Anthem (band del New Jersey molto amata e protetta d Bruce stesso), in un duetto straordinario di "No Surrender", altre cover che Bruce ama molto, come "Trapped" di Jmmy Cliff,"Good Loving" dei Young Rascals e "Raise your hand" di Eddie Floyd....Senza contare le innunerevoli sue produzioni!!!
E' uscito il 29 giugno il dvd e compratelo vi prego, non ve ne pentirete sicuramente. Per chi ha un tasso di energia a volte un po' basso, sarà subito un potenziale sferzata adrenalinica!!!
Nel DVD sono inserite due bonus tracks: The River suonata al Festival di Glastonbury il 27 giugno 2009 e Wrecking Ball eseguita al Giants Stadium in New Jersey il 20 ottobre 2009.
La scaletta del DVD è molto bella e comprende oltre alla cover dei Clash, anche quelle di Trapped di Jimmy Cliff, Good Lovin degli Young Rascals, Raise Your Hand di Eddie Floyd e Hard Time(Come Again No More) di Stephen Foster.
